On a random Thursday a couple weeks ago, I got an e-mail from a girl I know that Keb' Mo' was going to be playing at Celebrate St. Louis (formerly Live on the Levee, which I think is a better name) the following night!
It was steamin' hot (as it has been every day in St. Louis for the last 700 years), but T and I trekked downtown with a cooler full of cold water. That's it. Cold water. It was too freakin' hot for anything else. But somehow, melting in the heat seemed appropriate, given that we were sitting there listening to some old school blues.
It was a predictably mellow show, but a nice ending to a busy week.
